Whether you're a complete beginner wanting to make the game easier by
starting with the correct technique, or an experienced golfer wanting
to improve your scores and lower your handicap, Andy's clear and simple
instruction, relaxed and friendly manner make improving achievable and
enjoyable.
Portmore's
23 bay floodlit driving range means Andy is available for lessons
from 9am to 9pm Tuesday to Sunday, come rain or shine. Lessons include
the very latest 1,000 frame per second video technology, which pupils
can look back at after their lessons at home. In addition to their
18 hole par 71 course and the driving range, Portmore's practice facilities
include USGA putting and chipping greens and a 9 hole par 3 course.
This means if it's your putting, chipping, bunker play or course management
which could be improved, we have everything you need to improve it.
As
well as private lessons, Portmore runs an Academy for beginners. These
are 5 week courses starting from £30 designed to take the beginner
through what’s needed to consistently strike the ball and be
able to enjoy the game. Hugely popular, these run every evening of
the week as well as some day time sessions. Currently there are over
40 people taking part in the academy at various different stages,

Portmore’s Junior academy, every Saturday from 9.00 is going
from strength to strength, now with over 60 children per week participating.
Children enjoy coaching from a PGA Professional with a fun mix of
competition and games aimed at improving their swing and helping them
to enjoy sport.

Christmas Gift Vouchers
With Christmas just around the corner it's that time of year when
your racking your brains trying to think of presents for family and
friends. For people who already play golf we offer vouchers from £20
for a 40 minute video analysis session, to £100 for a course
of 6 lessons. As well as this there are playing lesson voucher at
£35 or £50 which involves playing 4 or 9 holes with me
on the course and are a great way to improve.
For those who have never played before, the academy is a great way
to get started and a £30 academy voucher
will get the recipient an hour group lesson every week for 5 weeks,
or £100 will take you through 3,
5 week courses, the first on the range, the second chipping, putting
and learning bunkers, and the third on the course.
All vouchers are available from the reception at the golf club, or

me I can send them out to you.
Get your game in shape over the winter
The winter is the perfect time to work on your game as there are fewer
competitions and generaly the conditions are more un-inspiring than
playing with the sun on your back. If you want to hit the start of
the season running with an improved swing and take some shots off
your scores, why not sign up for the winter coaching package. £100
will get you 6 lessons (1 lesson a month), on the range with
our video analysis system or short game area.
Academy lessons
The academy, aimed at people who are just taking the game up, or have
been playing a little and want to get things right which makes the
game a whole lot easier, is going from strength to strength. Currently
there are 8 different groups running with up to 8 in each group. Everyone
is doing very well and starting to realise that by learning the correct
technique, the game becomes an awful lot easier and much more enjoyable.

arrange another group for you.
Junior Academy
My Junior Academy takes place on Saturdays mornings, it's going from
strength to strength! All children from the age of 5 upward are welcome.
Sessions are 1 hour long and start at 9.00 for 5-7 years, 10.10 for
8-11 yrs, and 11.20 for 12 and above and 12.30 for under 10's
If you would like to book your child in, please contact reception
on 01271 378378. The lessons are £20
for a 6 week block + £2.00 per week for balls,
all equipment is provided and although everyone is very welcome to
come, places are limited to ensure the best possible tuition so
be sure to book.
Junior lessons for the members of the club are on a Tuesday and a
Wednesday night from 6.30 - 7.30, so if you are a member of the club
and would like to come along, please book through reception. These
sessions are also £20 for 6 weeks + the cost of balls.
